Might As Well Be Today

Sooner or later, you are going to have to stand and fight. Today might as well be the day. Oppression is an equal opportunity destroyer. MLK, Jr. and other visiomaries did not assert, ‘if it’s to be, it’s up to me’ lightly. Nor did they pick the time and context for their battle. It is always here and now.

The enemy is always the same – whatever dishonors Life. Our weapons are always the same – faith, collaborative, pro-social action. And the context is always where we find ourselves – parenting, public service, in sickness and in health, impoverished or in wealth. Now is always the set time for a victory over evil. What will you dare when you realize you cannot fail? Begin it. Now.
