At about the darkest passage of your life, your personal midnight, Pastor Marvin Sapp reassured us today, hang on. It is at that very point that a new day is dawning. I’ve been treated to some experiences in recent days and weeks that can only be described as transformative. They confirm that I am in the right place, at the right time. The ceaseless attacks of the enemy similarly confirm that I am in God’s will. Dr. Sapp, the preacher who also has the gift of song, encouraged us – but sternly with the example of Paul and Silas in prison – to praise at the pitch that will bring prison walls down and liberate everyone around us. Go ahead, confuse the enemy: Praise The Lord right there, in the midnight hour, when nothing suggests your change is on it’s way.
After all, we serve an unconventional God and the Comforter:
The Holy Ghost did not come just so we could speak with other tongues, but to give you power to be a more effective witness.
Therefore, it’s on you to execute your praise. “Turn up the volume.” Walk in authority, function in your purpose, and decide to deny circumstances the power to change or block your praise. Yes, once you open your mouth the enemy will be right there to muffle it. Don’t think that just because you are in the will of God you’re not going to go through trouble. Just remember, trouble don’t last always and Praise Him in Advance!
