Trusting God is a Process

Today, after some two months of limited alone time with God, I returned to the official prayer closet and took a page out of the Message Solo. It was such a revival I cannot tell it all. Suffice it to say, the question it provoked resonates still and so I share it here.

How would your life be different if you trusted God with just a little more every single morning, as the widow did?

The widow in question is the one who, in I Kings 17:7-16, made Elijah a cake before using what she believed would be the last of her flour and oil during a time of drought. We are facing a similar time of skepticism, lack and the resulting doubt such times seem to justify. Yet, like the widow, we are also called to a higher level of faith. Great confirmation came during tonight’s message at the Citywide Worship and Dance Celebrations. We were challenged to choose between being attractive and being authentic in our anointing. Enough said.
