Good Things Come to Those Who Don’t have to Wait, Too

Some things take time. Other things take only ten minutes. That’s just how long it took to get Salt on the treadmill this morning. Well, that and a few treats. She spent 20 minutes walking with me and I gradually got the incline to 5 and the pace to 2.5 m.p.h. We have been told that running daily will decrease her anxiety issues and make her more trainable. The pink Gentle Leader you see around her nose and head are designed to eliminate her straining against a leash. Treats were needed to accustom her to it at first, and then again after her vet suggested it might help reduce her fear-induced nipping. It sometimes happens that one is worth the trouble it takes to love.
