Preparing for tomorrow’s Adult Christian Education classes (albeit as back-up teacher) I come to the office on a Saturday feeling compelled to prepare a handout. I google a template for a foldable children’s book and play around until I have a place for attendees to write what letters have been written on their hearts and what the world is reading of their lives. Under the latter I include Galatians 5:22-23, the scripture about fruit of the spirit. Under the former, an image of a potter’s hands moulding a form. Above each there is room to write. The last ‘page’ in this one-sided folded book contains the highlights about our roles as Living Epistles.
The lesson in the Sunday School manual contains a note about the practice of writing on rice so of course, I had to look up Ernest Blystone and find an image of just what such tiny art might look like. Voici!
